Family History of Aviation

John’s rich history in aviation began with his father, LeRoy Young, who was a B-17 gunner and POW in World War II. He served as a part of the 91st Bomb Group based out of Bassingbourn Airfield in Cambridgeshire England flying on 18 missions prior to being shot down and captured. LeRoy continued his love for aviation after his military retirement by starting a maintenance shop in central Missouri - Y & B Aircraft. His passion inspired his children to enter the industry in many different arenas including: engineering, flying, maintenance, marketing and sales.
